The EYEBALL

Hey guys, It's me Nate. I have to write about the EYEBALL for my school work, but I think I'll do it on our blog so...
                                                           THE EYEBALL
To those of you who have eyeballs, but just don't know much about them, you've come to the right place! After you are finished with reading this article, You are going to know a lot about your eyes!

The eye has some pretty cool reflexes that help out a lot! If you walk into a dark room and sit there for a minute or two, then suddenly turn the light on, it burns your eyes, right?
The reason your eyes hurt is because your pupils (smallest black dot on your eye) turn bigger in the dark to let in more light. When it's dark, your pupil turns bigger, then when it is bright, your eyes turn smaller to balance the light. Without eye lids it would not work to blink, and just imagine how painful that would be!

The sclera is the white part of the eye. The sclera is made of a tough material that covers most of the eye. You could think of the scarla as the eyeball's outer coat. If you look close enough to the eye, you could see red lines. Those are the blood vessels that provide the scarla with blood.

The cornea is a transparent dome.  It sits right in front of the colorful part of the eye. The corneas helps focus on objects as light passes by. Although it is a very important part of the eye, It is barely seen because it was made out of clear tissue.

The iris is the colorful part of the eye. When you say that someone has green eyes, you actually mean that they have green irises! The iris has muscles attached to it often change the shape.
